Sociolinguistics
Moving to a new city brings on many new experiences. I noticed this firsthand when moving from New York to Philadelphia. Sociolinguistics is the study of language in relation to social factors, including differences in regional, class, occupational dialect, gender differences, and bilingualism. To create this project, I used a found article about the different accents in four major cities and designed a book informed by those writings.
